a workspace in our living area

in the beginning of june my brother moved in with us & i gave up my home office (happily, don’t worry!) we went a couple months without a dedicated workspace but with both my husband & i running multiple businesses out of our home we just needed a dedicated space for our butts to work at & mostly to store all the things. i found myself scouring pinterest & came across the old school roll top desks that can easily appear as decor in a room when not in use but also super functional with lots of storage & space to work!

i headed to our local facebook marketplace & what do you know, i found one for $20!! this next part may make some of my vintage friends cringe but i knew i wanted a black piece in the space because i was putting it on my “moody wall” if you remember the table i painted black earlier this year it went in that space! so i spray painted it a matte black & i am in love with how it turned out!

it looks like a piece of decor when not in use but provides the perfect solution for storage & workspace when needed! we simply bring a kitchen chair in to work there! fun fact: when i am stressed i re-arrange the house or find fun ways to make spaces more functional & if you’ve been keeping up a bit with me you know i have had a YEAR! so i will be sharing lots of projects i did especially these past few months soon. maybe my little workout space next?! stay tuned friend!
